The WRX STI (JDM) is the Japanese VAB sedan that Subaru announced on 25 August 2014. Its 2.0-litre twin-scroll turbo boxer makes 308 PS and 422 Nm, paired with a six-speed manual and all-wheel drive with a multi-mode DCCD centre differential. The body measures 4,595 by 1,795 by 1,475 mm on a 2,650 mm wheelbase. The price was 3,510,000 yen before tax, and the Type S grade cost 3,810,000 yen.

STORY

The WRX began as the performance turbocharged version of the Impreza in 1992, powered by a turbo boxer engine and symmetrical all-wheel drive that made it well known in rallying and among enthusiasts. Subaru later spun the WRX off as its own model line, with the STI variant serving as the high-performance flagship.
