The WRX STI (JDM) of 2017 to 2019 is the Japanese VAB sedan after the 2017 facelift, with a larger hexagonal grille, a deeper lower intake and new headlamps. It keeps the 2.0-litre EJ207 turbocharged boxer at 308 PS and 422 Nm, with a six-speed manual gearbox and all-wheel drive with DCCD. It is the late form of the Japanese STI.

STORY

The WRX began as the performance turbocharged version of the Impreza in 1992, powered by a turbo boxer engine and symmetrical all-wheel drive that made it well known in rallying and among enthusiasts. Subaru later spun the WRX off as its own model line, with the STI variant serving as the high-performance flagship.
