The WRX S4 of the VB generation is a Japan-only sedan announced on 25 November 2021 and on sale until 2026. Its 2.4-litre FA24 direct-injection turbo boxer makes 275 PS and 375 Nm and works with the Subaru Performance Transmission CVT and all-wheel drive. The body measures 4,670 by 1,825 by 1,465 mm on a 2,675 mm wheelbase, and the kerb weight is 1,600 to 1,610 kg by grade. It replaces the 2.0-litre S4 of the previous generation.

STORY

The WRX began as the performance turbocharged version of the Impreza in 1992, powered by a turbo boxer engine and symmetrical all-wheel drive that made it well known in rallying and among enthusiasts. Subaru later spun the WRX off as its own model line, with the STI variant serving as the high-performance flagship.
