STORY

Launched in 2001 (2002 for North America), the Aerio was a compact car with a tall body. It came as a sedan and as a five-door hatchback. It had four-cylinder engines and optional all-wheel drive. In Europe and Asia it was sold as the Liana ("Life In A New Age"), and it sold moderately well worldwide. It became known as the reasonably priced car on the UK TV show Top Gear. The SX4 replaced it around 2007.
