STORY

The APV (All Purpose Vehicle) launched in 2004 as an affordable body-on-frame people carrier and light commercial vehicle. It was built mainly in Indonesia, where it became a common fleet and family vehicle. It came as a passenger van, a minibus and a cargo van with blind panels. It used simple rear-drive mechanicals and Suzuki's G-series petrol engines, which held up well on rough roads. A restyled "APV Arena" arrived later, and production continued for many years with few fundamental changes.
