STORY

Introduced in 1983 as the SA310, the Cultus was a light, frugal supermini and became a global platform. It was sold as the Suzuki Swift, Forsa, Geo and Chevrolet Metro, Holden Barina and Pontiac Firefly. It underpinned decades of Suzuki small cars and was licence-built worldwide, valued for economy and low cost. The Cultus name stayed in use in some markets, such as Pakistan, long after other regions moved to the Swift badge.
