STORY

The Ertiga arrived in 2012 as an affordable, efficient three-row MPV on a car-based platform. It quickly became a best-seller in India and Indonesia among families who wanted seven seats on a budget. A second generation in 2018 moved to the lighter HEARTECT platform with mild-hybrid petrol and CNG options. It also led to the more upmarket XL6 and a Toyota-badged version. It is the base of Suzuki's volume MPV business in South and Southeast Asia.
