STORY

The Fronte name arrived in the early 1960s on Suzuki's kei passenger cars. It ran through several generations that established Suzuki in Japan's microcar market, including a well-known rear-engine Fronte Coupe. It had tiny two-stroke and later four-stroke engines within the kei tax class, and it developed alongside the Alto line and eventually merged into it. The Fronte was central to Suzuki's rise as a small-car specialist.
