STORY

The Jimny traces back to Suzuki's 1970 LJ series and developed through the long-lived SJ line. The JB generation of 1998 modernised it while keeping the ladder frame and solid axles. The fourth generation arrived in 2018 with boxy retro styling and gained a strong following, and a longer five-door variant was added later. Throughout, its small size, low-range transfer case and light weight have made it very capable off-road for its size.
