STORY
The Liana, a contraction of "Life In A New Age", launched in 2001 as a tall, practical C-segment sedan and five-door hatchback sold worldwide. In Japan it was known as the Aerio. It had 1.3- to 1.8-litre engines with optional all-wheel drive, and it stressed a high seating position and a roomy cabin over sporty appeal. It became widely known as the first Reasonably Priced Car on the UK TV show Top Gear.
