STORY
The modern Swift arrived in 2004 as a stylish, keenly priced supermini and became one of Suzuki's best-known global models. It led to the Swift Sport, popular with enthusiasts, which had a naturally aspirated engine and later a turbocharged one. Successive generations on the Heartect platform cut weight and added mild-hybrid technology while keeping nimble handling. It is sold and built worldwide and remains a core model in Suzuki's passenger-car range.
