STORY

The Simca 1100 was launched in 1967 as a small front-wheel-drive hatchback. In 1979, after PSA took over Chrysler's European operations, it was sold as the Talbot 1100 into the early 1980s. Its petrol engines ranged from about 0.9 to 1.3 litres. Chrysler Europe had designed the Horizon to replace the 1100 and the Hillman Avenger.
