The Avenger was introduced in 1970 as the Hillman Avenger and stayed in production until 1981. After PSA took over Chrysler's European operations in 1979, the car was sold as the Talbot Avenger for its last years. The Avenger came as a saloon and an estate with 1.3 and 1.6-litre petrol engines.
