Launched in 2021, the Tank 500 is the brand's full-size, seven-seat flagship of the original line-up. It uses the same ladder-frame off-road architecture as the 300, stretched for three rows. Its main powertrain at launch was a 3.0-litre twin-turbo V6 with a nine-speed automatic, an unusually large engine for a modern Chinese SUV. The Hi4-T plug-in hybrid joined it later. It is positioned as an alternative to the Toyota Land Cruiser Prado with a heavily equipped luxury cabin, and it has become one of Tank's most important export models.
