Revealed as a concept in 2023 and launched in 2024, the Tank 700 Hi4-T is a large, deliberately imposing off-roader positioned above the Tank 500, with an unapologetically American full-size look. It uses Great Wall's 3.0-litre twin-turbo V6 in the Hi4-T plug-in hybrid layout, giving a system output of around 500 hp, and keeps a ladder frame, a low-range transfer case and triple locking differentials. Tank has offered it in separate off-road and more urban luxury versions, with a hardcore limited edition for desert and rock-crawling use.
The Tank 700 is Tank's full-size luxury off-roader, a heavy body-on-frame SUV aimed squarely at premium 4x4 rivals such as the Mercedes-Benz G-Class. It uses Tank's most capable ladder-frame platform, with multiple differential locks, low-range gearing and a deep wading depth for extreme terrain. Power comes from a 3.0-litre twin-turbo V6 Hi4-T plug-in hybrid producing just over 500 horsepower and around 800 Nm of torque, with a useful electric-only range. A lavish, technology-packed cabin and an imposing off-road stance reflect its place at the top of the range.
