STORY
The Tatra 603 was a large luxury saloon with a rear-mounted, air-cooled V8. The first cars had a 2,545 cc engine, and from 1962 the V8 displaced 2,474 cc, with around 100 hp. Cooling relied on two belt-driven blowers and a thermostat-controlled opening in the grille. Buyers were mostly state and party officials and diplomats. The car was updated in the 1960s and the T603/3 followed in 1968. Production ended in 1975, when the Tatra 613 took over.
