STORY

The Tatra 613 replaced the 603 in the mid-1970s. Its body was styled by the Italian firm Vignale. Vignale delivered two saloons and a coupé to Kopřivnice for inspection in spring 1969. The car had a 3.5-litre, air-cooled V8 with twin overhead camshafts, mounted at the rear, that made 168 PS. Later fuel-injected versions made 200 PS and reached 230 km/h. Most 613s went to government officials and company executives, and a few served as police cars. About 11,000 were built.
