STORY

Tatra introduced the 57 in 1931 as a small car with an air-cooled flat-four engine of 1,155 cc and about 18 hp. It was updated as the 57A and the 57B, and later cars received a 1,256 cc engine. In 1941 Tatra added the 57K, a military version, and more than 5,000 Tatra Kübelwagens were built through 1945. Production of the 57K ended in 1947 and that of the 57B in 1949.
