Model X P90D

Original (2015-2021) · 2015–2016AWDSUV

Launch performance version of the falcon-wing SUV, on sale from the September 2015 deliveries until the P100D replaced it in 2016. Tesla published no horsepower or torque figure for the Model X P90D on either the US or the German order page - only acceleration, top speed and range - so both fields are left empty rather than borrowed from the Model S. Tesla quoted 3.8 s 0-60 mph, or 3.2 s with the Ludicrous Speed Upgrade; the German page gives the same car as 4.0 s 0-100 km/h, 3.4 s with the upgrade, which is the figure recorded. Top speed 155 mph / 250 km/h, EPA range 250 miles. Kerb weight is Tesla's own 5,381 lb for the P90D from the Model X Specifications page (https://web.archive.org/web/20160418084331/https://www.teslamotors.com/support/model-x-specifications), converted to 2441 kg.

STORY

Introduced in 2015, the Model X is Tesla's full-size electric SUV, best known for its rear 'Falcon Wing' doors and available six- or seven-seat cabin. It shares much of its platform and running gear with the Model S, including dual- and later tri-motor drive. A 2021 refresh added the new interior, optional yoke, and the tri-motor Plaid variant.
