STORY

The bB set a tall box body on the platform of the Vitz and reached Netz Toyota Store showrooms on 3 February 2000, named after the initials of black box and styled on the vans young Americans were customising at the time; it was drawn entirely in computer graphics without a single physical prototype. The 1,298 cc 2NZ-FE gave 65 kW (88 PS) and the 1,496 cc 1NZ-FE 81 kW (110 PS), and an Open Deck version with the rear roof cut away joined in June 2001. North America got the same car as the first Scion xB. The QNC20 of 26 December 2005 was a different animal, on the Passo platform under the theme of a car-shaped music player, built by Central Motor for its first month and by Daihatsu at Ikeda from January 2006, with Daihatsu's own Coo following that May. Production ran to 2016.
