Wagon

S110 · 1979–1983RWD

The S110 wagon carried a 2.0 litre engine with a manual gearbox and rear drive. Lower-grade wagons, vans and taxis kept round headlights, while the facelifted passenger Crowns moved to larger monoblock units. Within the squarer-bodied S110 range the wagon was the load-carrying choice, with no Royal Saloon fittings.

STORY

The Toyopet Crown entered the Japanese market in January 1955. In 1964 the Crown Eight arrived with a 2.6-litre V8, and the Century, which went into production in 1967, was built on that V8 lineage. In July 2022 Toyota unveiled a new Crown family in four body styles, Crossover, Sport, Sedan and Estate, with the Crossover going on sale first, on 1 September 2022. The catalog files the Crown Eight, the S-series cars and the Sport under this one name, although they are very different machines.
