Fortuner 2.5 D-4D VNT (KUN60)

The KUN60 version of the first-generation Fortuner used a 2.5 litre D-4D diesel with a variable-nozzle turbo, VNT. It was listed from 2009 to 2015 with four-wheel drive and a manual gearbox. Toyota raised power and torque on the 2.5 litre diesel with the VNT unit in 2012 in some markets.

STORY

The Fortuner is a seven-seat body-on-frame wagon. The first generation (AN50 and AN60) was unveiled at the Thailand International Motor Expo in December 2004. The second generation (AN150 and AN160) was shown in Thailand and Australia in July 2015 and shares its chassis, transmissions and engines with the Hilux. Across markets its range includes 2.7-litre and 4.0-litre petrol engines and 2.4-litre and 2.8-litre diesels. A facelift was shown in June 2020 with the Legender grade.
