STORY

Toyota's Group C programme began with the Dome-built 85C at Le Mans in 1985, run with Tom's, and the cars were renamed, through the 86C, 87C, 88C-V, 89C-V and 90C-V, which finished 6th at Le Mans in 1990. Under the new 3.5 litre naturally aspirated rules, Tony Southgate's TS010 replaced the turbo cars; it first raced in 1991 and ran a full season in 1992. It finished second at Le Mans that year, six laps behind the winning Peugeot, and Tom's won the C class of the 1992 All Japan championship. In 1993 a TS010 was 4th at Le Mans, and in 1994 the 94C-V ended second overall, one lap behind the winning Dauer 962.
