Peru gets the Hilux Champ as the Hilux Stout, launched on 29 August 2024. It is offered only in the short wheelbase with the 2.4 litre diesel, which produces 343 Nm with the manual gearbox. Drive goes to the rear wheels. The Stout is the Peruvian name for the same truck that Thailand sells as the Hilux Champ.

STORY

The Hilux Champ was shown as the IMV 0 concept in December 2022 and went on sale in Thailand on 27 November 2023. It comes in short and long wheelbases on the IMV platform, with the 2.0 litre 1TR-FE and 2.7 litre 2TR-FE petrol engines and the 2.4 litre 2GD-FTV diesel. Transmissions are a five-speed manual or a six-speed automatic, depending on the engine. Indonesia sells it as the Hilux Rangga from October 2024, the Philippines as the Tamaraw from December 2024, and Peru as the Hilux Stout from August 2024.
