The Hilux Z Adventure is a Japanese pickup of the AN220 generation, on sale from 2026. It has the 2.8-litre four-cylinder diesel (1GD-FTV) with part-time four-wheel drive and a six-speed automatic. The AN220 is the ninth-generation Hilux, introduced in 2025. Since 2004 the Hilux has been a mid-size pickup sharing its ladder-frame platform with the Fortuner SUV.

STORY

The Hilux went on sale in Japan on 21 March 1968 as the RN10. Later generations were introduced in September 1978, September 1988 and September 1997, and the seventh, the Hilux Vigo, began production and launch in Thailand in August 2004. The eighth generation had its world premiere in Thailand in May 2015. Toyota unveiled the ninth generation in November 2025, a little over ten years later, with a dual-motor battery-electric version and a mild-hybrid 2.8-litre diesel among its powertrains.
