Hilux 2.4 (2L-T, AN10)

AN30 · 2004–2008RWD

From 2004 to 2008, early AN10 Hilux trucks kept the 2.4 litre 2L-T turbodiesel from the previous generation, while Toyota rolled out the D-4D engines. This version has rear-wheel drive and a manual gearbox and was sold internationally. It was the older of the two turbodiesel designs sold in that period.

STORY

The Hilux went on sale in Japan on 21 March 1968 as the RN10. Later generations were introduced in September 1978, September 1988 and September 1997, and the seventh, the Hilux Vigo, began production and launch in Thailand in August 2004. The eighth generation had its world premiere in Thailand in May 2015. Toyota unveiled the ninth generation in November 2025, a little over ten years later, with a dual-motor battery-electric version and a mild-hybrid 2.8-litre diesel among its powertrains.
