N140 3.0 1KZ-TE Turbo Diesel 4WD

Right-hand-drive markets such as Australia received the 3.0 litre 1KZ-TE turbodiesel in the N140 Hilux from 1999. This version has four-wheel drive and a manual gearbox and was sold until 2006. Displacement of 3.0 litres put it above the 2.4 litre 2L-T turbodiesel sold elsewhere in the N140 range.

STORY

The Hilux went on sale in Japan on 21 March 1968 as the RN10. Later generations were introduced in September 1978, September 1988 and September 1997, and the seventh, the Hilux Vigo, began production and launch in Thailand in August 2004. The eighth generation had its world premiere in Thailand in May 2015. Toyota unveiled the ninth generation in November 2025, a little over ten years later, with a dual-motor battery-electric version and a mild-hybrid 2.8-litre diesel among its powertrains.
