Reiz 3.0 (3GR-FE)

X120 · 2005–2010RWD

The Reiz 3.0 carried the 3GR-FE, a 3.0-liter V6, in the Chinese-market Mark X sold from 2005 to 2010. Rear-wheel drive and an automatic gearbox were fitted. Japan's 3.0-liter Mark X used the direct-injection 3GR-FSE instead, while the Reiz kept the port-injected engine. It kept rear-wheel drive and the automatic gearbox.

STORY

Toyota put the Mark X on sale in Japan on 9 November 2004 as the replacement for the Mark II, and sold it through Toyopet Store dealers. The X120 took the platform of the 12th-generation Crown of December 2003, kept rear-wheel drive, stretched the wheelbase to 2,850 mm and offered a 3.0-litre 3GR-FSE of 188 kW (256 PS) or a 2.5-litre 4GR-FSE of 158 kW (215 PS), with full-time four-wheel drive as an alternative. Motomachi built it, helped by Kanto Auto Works in Iwate until September 2006, and China took it as the Reiz from October 2005. The X130, launched on 19 October 2009, traded the 3.0 for the 3.5-litre 2GR-FSE, 234 kW (318 PS), and moved every version to a six-speed automatic. Production ended in December 2019.
