The XW20 of 2003 used a 1.31 kWh battery, the XW30 followed in 2009 with a 1.8-litre engine, and the XW50 of 2015 was the first Prius on the TNGA platform. The XW60 was presented on 16 November 2022, and Japanese sales began on 10 January 2023.
