Toyota introduced the QuickDelivery in 1982 as a step van sharing its platform with the Dyna, ToyoAce and HiAce. Yamato Transport asked for it for home deliveries and wanted a high ceiling so crews could work without stooping. The first generation, built from 1982 to 1986, carried 1.25 tons and was offered only with permanent all-wheel drive and a 3-litre Hino engine. The second generation ran from 1986 to 2000, carried two tons, and used 3.0 and 3.4-litre diesel engines. A 3.7-litre 4B diesel arrived in 1999 and a 2.7-litre LPG version was added in 2000. A third generation appeared in August 1999. Sales to the general public stopped after 2000 and resumed in 2006 with a Hino turbo diesel, then ended again in 2011. Production for Yamato Transport ended in 2016, and a revised version was badged the Urban Supporter.
The QuickDelivery is a Toyota step van made for local parcel delivery. It has a tall cabin so crews can stand and walk through, and the first model came with permanent all-wheel drive and a 3-litre Hino diesel.
