The xB was one of the two models with which Toyota launched Scion in the United States in 2003. The first generation, for the 2004 model year, was the Japanese bB with a 1.5 litre engine and a tall box body, offered with a five-speed manual or four-speed automatic and few options. The second generation arrived for 2008 with a larger body and the 2.4 litre 2AZ-FE. The xB ended after the 2015 model year, and Toyota closed the Scion brand in 2016. A large aftermarket scene grew around the xB.
The Scion xB was a boxy compact hatchback sold in the United States under Toyota's Scion brand in two generations, from 2004 to 2015. The first generation came from the Japanese bB, and the second moved to a larger body with a 2.4 litre engine.
