STORY
Toyota put the Sienta on sale in Japan on 29 September 2003 through the Toyota Corolla and Netz chains: a 4,100 mm minivan in the NCP80 series that seated seven, with sliding doors on both sides, a 1.5-litre 1NZ-FE and a CVT on front drive or a four-speed automatic on 4WD. Takaoka assembled it, and Daihatsu's Kyoto plant joined in May 2006. Toyota's own lineage data closes that first run in August 2010 and opens a fresh entry from June 2011, when a facelifted Sienta came back through the Corolla Store alone. The 170-series car of 9 July 2015 brought the first hybrid, rated 27.2 km/L on the JC08 cycle, and went to all four chains at once. The third Sienta followed on 23 August 2022 with the length and width left untouched. Toyota billed the 2015 car as its smallest minivan.
