The Spade was less a model line than a second face for the Porte, a nameplate that had started on 26 July 2004. Toyota released both cars on 23 July 2012, the Porte through the Toyota and Toyopet chains and the Spade through the Corolla and Netz chains, and the Japanese lineage page states the pair differed only in front and rear styling. The point was one wireless powered sliding door on the passenger side, 1,020 mm wide and 1,250 mm tall, opening onto a floor 300 mm off the ground, with a 2,160 mm cabin behind it and a conventional rear door on the driver's side. Engines were a 1.3-litre 1NR-FE and a 1.5-litre 1NZ-FE, both on Super CVT-i, and Toyota Motor East Japan built the car at Higashifuji. A scale on the left B-pillar measured children's height. Both names left the price list in 2020.
Porte twin of 2012 to 2020 sold through Toyota Corolla Store, with the same single sliding door.
