The 2008 car brought Toyota back toward the front, driven by Jarno Trulli and newcomer Timo Glock with the RVX-08 V8. Glock took second in the Hungarian GP and the team scored two podiums and 56 points for 5th in the Constructors' Championship.

STORY

Toyota contested Formula 1 as a full works constructor from 2002 to 2009, running the TF10x series of cars out of its Cologne (TMG) facility. Despite one of the largest budgets on the grid, the team never won a Grand Prix, scoring its best results as runner-up finishes. Toyota withdrew from the sport at the end of the 2009 season.
