STORY
The WiLL Cypha was the third and last Toyota model built for the WiLL project, a cross-industry venture Toyota started in August 1999 with Asahi Breweries, Kao, Kinki Nippon Tourist and Matsushita Electric Industrial. Released on 21 October 2002 on Vitz mechanicals, the NCP70 and NCP75 were the first Toyotas to carry a G-BOOK network terminal as standard: a built-in communications module pulled local restaurant, cinema and event listings and handled e-mail without a mobile phone. Front-drive cars used the 1.3-litre 2NZ-FE at 87 PS and four-wheel-drive cars the 1.5-litre 1NZ-FE at 105 PS, both with a four-speed automatic. Central Motor built it at its own head plant, Toyota Corolla Store and Toyota Vista Store sold it until the Vista chain merged into Netz in May 2004, and the car ran to 2005. The WiLL project ended about five years after it began.
