STORY
Toyota's second WiLL model reached the market on 6 April 2001, keeping the shape-first approach of the Vi but moving onto Corolla running gear a size up from the smaller car. The five-door body, which Toyota compared to a stealth fighter, measured 4,385 by 1,720 mm on a 2,600 mm wheelbase and carried codes ZZE127 to ZZE129. The 1.8-liter 1ZZ-FE made 136 PS on front drive and 125 PS with V-flex full-time four-wheel drive, and the 2ZZ-GE reached 190 PS at 7,600 rpm; that engine could be ordered with sports steer shiftmatic, shift switches set on the steering wheel. January 2002 added a 1.5-liter version, a six-speed manual and an internet-only limited edition. Central Motor built the car for Toyota Vista Store, and it was dropped in April 2004.
