STORY

The Chevette was a small hatchback, saloon and estate launched in 1975 as Vauxhall's version of GM's global T-car. Its 'droop-snoot' nose gave it a distinctive look, and it became a strong seller through the late 1970s. In motorsport the Chevette HS and homologation-special HSR, powered by a 16-valve Lotus-developed 2.3-litre engine, became a successful Group 4 rally car for Vauxhall.
