STORY

Volkswagen announced on 6 March 2017 that the Arteon would make its first appearance at the Geneva show. The liftback was built at Emden and sat above the Passat. It succeeded the Passat CC. In April 2021 the first Arteon R and Arteon R Shooting Brake reached dealers as the top versions, rated at 235 kW (320 PS), accelerating to 100 km/h in 4.9 seconds and with permanent all-wheel drive. Volkswagen dropped the liftback in 2023, and the Shooting Brake ended at the end of 2024.
