STORY

Volkswagen presented the series Eos at the IAA in Frankfurt in September 2005, about 18 months after the Concept C study at Geneva in 2004. Volkswagen called it the world's first four-seater with a five-section folding hard roof, which opens or closes in about 25 seconds. The car was built at Autoeuropa in Palmela, Portugal, from 2006. A Volkswagen spokesperson said in February 2015 that production would end in May or June of that year.
