The Mk6 Golf GTI is a three-door hatchback built from 2009 to 2013, with a 2.0-litre TSI four-cylinder making 210 PS and a 6-speed manual. For the GTI's 35th anniversary VW built the Edition 35, which raised the same engine to 235 PS and 300 Nm and cut the 0-62 mph time from 6.9 to 6.6 seconds.

STORY

The Volkswagen Golf is a compact car introduced in 1974 as the front-engine, front-wheel-drive successor to the Beetle, one of the most influential and best-selling cars in history. Its first generation, styled by Giugiaro, defined the modern hatchback class. The GTI hot hatch and many body variants came later.
