The first Mk8 Golf GTD is a five-door diesel hatchback with a 2.0-litre TDI making 200 PS and 400 Nm through a 7-speed DSG, and no manual was offered. Its exhaust uses two selective catalytic reduction filters with dual AdBlue injection. This twin dosing cuts nitrogen oxide emissions by up to 80% compared with the Mk7.
