STORY

The Volkswagen Lavida was launched in 2008 by the SAIC Volkswagen joint venture in Shanghai. The first generation used the PQ34 platform shared with the older Jetta and Bora. The third generation, the Lavida Plus, appeared at the 2018 Beijing show on the MQB platform with a wheelbase 78 mm longer than before. The third generation has been on sale since May 2018, is 4.67 m long with a 2.68 m wheelbase, and in 2019 the Lavida was the best-selling model of all manufacturers in China.
