STORY

The Sagitar is the compact sedan FAW-Volkswagen has built in China since 2006. Its third generation arrived as an all-new long-wheelbase model, launched in March 2019 on the MQB platform. That car has a 2.73 m wheelbase and 1.2 or 1.4 TSI petrol engines. About 310,000 customers chose the Sagitar in 2019, more than 176,000 of them the new model. Production is split between Changchun and Chengdu.
