STORY

The Saveiro is Volkswagen do Brasil's pickup, built on the Gol platform, and it debuted in September 1982 with an air-cooled 1.6-litre boxer engine. A water-cooled 1.6-litre engine replaced the boxer from the 1985 model year. The fifth generation, shown in August 2009, moved to the PQ24 platform. Volkswagen introduced a double cab in September 2014 as a 2015 model, and later phases adopted the 1.6-litre 16-valve MSI engine.
