FAW-Volkswagen showed the Tavendor in China on 29 August 2022 and launched it on 18 November 2022, with a 2022 range priced from 274,900 to 325,900 yuan. It is a five-seat mid-size SUV on the MQB platform with a wheelbase of 2,980 mm. Power comes from a 2.0-litre turbo four, tuned to 186 PS in the front-drive version and 220 PS in the four-wheel-drive one, with a seven-speed wet dual-clutch gearbox. The range included a Debut Edition at 305,900 yuan.
