STORY

The Tayron name began in China, where FAW-Volkswagen put the first Tayron on the market in October 2018 and added the Tayron X, FAW-Volkswagen's first coupe SUV, which went on sale on 17 July 2020. The second generation had its world premiere on 9 October 2024, with pre-sales opening the next day, and the European market launch followed in 2025. In Europe it is built in Wolfsburg on MQB evo, has a 2,791 mm wheelbase and a length of 4,792 mm, and seats five or seven. Volkswagen places it between the Tiguan and the Touareg.
