STORY

Vanagon was the North American marketing name for the third-generation (T3) Volkswagen Transporter, sold there from 1980. It was the last rear-engined VW van, offered with air-cooled and later water-cooled engines, optional syncro all-wheel drive, and the popular Westfalia camper conversion. It was replaced by the front-engined EuroVan.
