STORY

Volvo showed the C70 coupe at the Paris show on 30 September 1996, and the convertible followed in 1997. Both were built at Uddevalla in a joint venture with TWR, in a plant run by AutoNova. The coupe was built until 2002 and the last first-generation convertible was delivered in April 2005. The second generation, shown at Frankfurt in September 2005, is a different car: a three-piece retractable hardtop developed with Pininfarina.
