STORY

The S60 has had three distinct starts. The first, in the second half of 2000, offered turbocharged petrol engines including three of 180, 200 and 250 bhp in a sedan Volvo announced for the Paris Motor Show; a road test dated 22 November 2000 found petrol cars on sale. The second generation premiered at Geneva on 2 March 2010, was built in Ghent, Belgium, and put a 3.0-litre turbo inline-six T6 listed at 304 PS (224 kW) at the top of the range. The third came in 2018 from Ridgeville, South Carolina, Volvo's first US plant, where the 2019 S60 was the first Volvo car built in the USA.
