STORY

The V60 started as the estate version of the S60 sedan. Volvo revealed it in July 2010 ahead of its global debut at the Paris show on 30 September, and planned to sell about 50,000 a year, roughly 90 percent of them in Europe. In 2011 it showed a diesel plug-in hybrid V60 at Geneva: a 2.4-litre five-cylinder diesel with about 215 hp drove the front wheels, a 70 hp electric motor drove the rear axle, and launch was set for 2012. The second generation was revealed in Stockholm in February 2018 and shown at Geneva that March, on Volvo's SPA platform.
